SPECTACULAR TAJIKISTAN

At the heart of Central Asia, Tajikistan offers something a little different than its neighbours – it’s all about the mountains. The starkness of the Fanns, adorned with so many astoundingly coloured high altitude lakes, provide one of the world’s great trekking paradises. And on the other side of the capital Dushanbe, the world famous Pamir Highway travels high through lunar-esque landscapes for a thousand kilometres or more. Tajikistan, a country of dry and dusty mountains, has a wild beauty that takes hold, and doesn’t let go.
