    GEORGIA & ARMENIA

Welcome to our Transcaucasian Trail inspired Georgia and Armenia print collection.

Many things drew us to the Caucasus, from food, culture and history to the diversity of landscapes found in this region, but one of the main motivating factors was the desire to hike the Transcaucasian Trail.

In active development since 2015, the Transcaucasian Trail (TCT) is in the process of becoming a world-class, long-distance hiking trail covering more than 3000 km. It follows the Greater and Lesser Caucasus Mountains, connecting Georgia’s Black Sea coast to Armenia’s southern border, with a second route connecting Georgia and Azerbaijan.

As the terrain is often inhospitable, developing such a trail network is hard work. In many places, the route has been planned to take advantage of existing trails, traditionally used by shepherds and seasonal herders. However, many have fallen into disrepair and need restored, while others must be built new. An incredible amount of work goes into constructing, rehabilitating, and maintaining these trails by both TCT volunteer crews and partner organisations.

Over a two year period, we hiked many sections of the Transcaucasian Trail in both Georgia and Armenia, taking advantage of the detailed trail notes, maps, and GPX tracks provided by the TCT, and benefitting from the efforts of everyone involved. We wanted to help support the continued development of this fantastic trail, and so, the idea for this print collection was born. We will be donating 10% of profits from sales to the Transcaucasian Trail Association, and from the sales of four selected prints, the TCT will receive 100% of the profits.

The images included in this Caucasus print collection were all taken while walking the Transcaucasian Trail in Georgia and Armenia. They capture a wide variety of dramatic mountain landscapes, along with historical architecture unique to the regions. If you’ve hiked any part of the TCT, we hope one of these prints will evoke a special memory from your time on the trail. And if you’re yet to visit the Caucasus, perhaps an image will inspire a trip to experience the TCT for yourself.

As you browse the collection below, clicking the images will take you to a dedicated page where you can learn more about the context and content of the print, see available sizes and pricings for each, and complete your purchase. If you do decide to buy, a sincere thank you from us, and we hope you enjoy this new addition to your home.

Our prints can be shipped worldwide, come unframed, and are sold in limited editions of 100 per print size. They are professional Giclée prints on heavyweight museum-grade fine art paper with an archival lifespan of 80+ years.
